Top Catholic Songs formally announced today the voting results for the Top Ten Songs for Adoration from Catholic Artists. Chris D'Alfonso, currently performing in the area of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, reached across the Pond with his moving Eucharistic ballad, "Broken" from the album Blueprints. Margo B Smith's heartfelt "Spending Time Adoring You" and "Holy God We Praise Your Great Name" from the typically comedic
Nick Alexander complete the top three.
Teresa Smith returns to the Top Ten with "Open Book" at #4, while Sean Clive continues to make his presence felt as "With You" lands at #5. Michael Howard's "Jesus, Teacher" off the Build the House album, which benefits the missions in Honduras, scored the #6 position. Lynn Geyer adds to her collection of Top Ten honors as "Quiet Here With You" lands at #7. Mark Mallett earned the #8
spot with "Holy Are You, Lord", followed by Valerie Von Fange's setting of "Psalm 123" and Celeste Zepponi's "You Are Enough".
The purpose of this Top Ten list was to honor Catholic artists for
their musical and technical achievements in providing Catholics with
quality recorded music which is entertaining, edifying, and
educational.
According to a poll of the Top Catholic Songs online community, these 10
songs represent the best recorded songs by Catholic musicians for
Adoration:
